Reset your password
Updated
Forgot your password? Request a 6-digit email code, verify it, then choose a new password.
Reset it
- On the sign-in page, select Forgot password?.
- Enter the email for your account. Complete any security check and select Send code.
- Open the SomHack email. The 6-digit code appears at the top and in the subject line. It expires in 15 minutes.
- Select Enter the code. Enter the code, then select Verify code.
- On Set a new password, enter your new password twice and select Reset password.
- When Password reset appears, select Back to sign in and use your new password.
Your previous sessions are revoked after a successful reset. SomHack also sends a password-changed email.
Password rules
- Use 12 to 128 characters.
- Include at least one letter and one number.
- Choose a password you do not use elsewhere.
No code?
Check spam or junk and the email address you entered. SomHack does not say whether an address has an account. Wait for Send again to become available, then request another code. If the code is invalid or expired, request a new one.
Signed up with Google or GitHub?
If you use only Google or GitHub, use that button to sign in. You may not have a local SomHack password.
Two-factor authentication
Resetting your password does not turn off two-factor authentication. You still need your authenticator app or a recovery code when you sign in.
If you lose your authenticator app and all your recovery codes, support can't turn two-factor off for you. Keep your recovery codes somewhere safe.
