How XP and ranks work
Updated
XP records your learning achievements. Your rank comes from your lifetime XP. Buying a plan does not change the XP rules.
What earns XP
You earn XP for a first correct lesson question, a first correct standalone-machine question, a first standalone-machine finish, a first course finish and a first path finish.
The award depends on the type of work and its difficulty. Lesson question difficulty follows its course. Machine questions and finishes follow the machine. Course and path finishes follow their own difficulty.
Practice and hints
Repeating work you have already solved or finished does not award the same XP again. Hints and wrong attempts do not reduce the XP for a later first correct answer. Badges do not add extra XP.
Lifetime and Seasonal XP
Lifetime XP does not reset. It keeps accumulating even after you reach the highest rank.
Seasonal XP counts XP actually earned during the current calendar month in Africa/Mogadishu time. It starts fresh in a new month without changing your lifetime XP.
Your rank
The ranks, in order, are Beginner, Practitioner, Specialist, Expert, Master and Grandmaster. Your rank advances as your lifetime XP reaches the next rank's requirement. Rank and leaderboard position are different: your position compares your XP with other learners.
Some XP updates may appear after the learning action is saved. Repeating the action does not create another award.
