Submit a flag and finish a machine

A flag is an answer you find while working on a machine. SomHack flags use SOMHACK{...}. Submit your answers on the machine page to save your work.
Submit an answer
- Read the task and find its answer or flag.
- Enter the answer in that task's answer field.
- Submit it. A correct answer shows Correct answer saved.
- If you see That answer isn't right. Change it and try again., check the task and try again.
Correct answers stay saved. Wrong submissions do not become solved answers. Use Show hint if a hint is available; hints never cost XP.
Required and guided tasks
Tasks marked Required must be solved before you can finish. Guided tasks help you practise but do not block the finish. Switching play mode does not change which tasks are required.
Record your finish
When every required task is solved, Finish machine becomes available. Select it to record completion. Solving the last required task does not finish the machine by itself.
After completion, use View achievement to open your achievement card. Finishing does not stop the running machine. Use Stop machine when you want to stop it.
Return later
Your solved answers and completion remain after the machine stops. You can practise again when you have access, but the same question or machine finish does not award XP again.
